EARLY MORN: Can hear a Great Horned Owl in the distance for a while before D lands on left side of nest tree (some sticks at front of nest move as he lands) 3:34:20am; can see tip of wing as he shifts position 3:35:21; Flaps wings as he enters nest from the left 3:36:12; after digging in the nest a bit, D hops to RB 3:41:23; he rouses 3:41:54; M calls from a distance 3:50:28; D answers from RB 3:50:40. MORN: D eases down RB 7:15:30am & hops to nest 7:15:34; M in FD 7:25:13; both nestorize a bit; Twiggy time for D 7:27:12; both fluffing the fluff 7:27:40; IR light off 7:29:14; D steps up on front rail 7:30:20, hops up the LB 7:30:27 & out 7:31:11. D in BSD w/pine bough 8:38:37; M out BSD 8:42:08; M in BSD w/forked branch (she almost over-shot the nest) 8:44:52; D takes it away from M 8:45:03 & places it on the right rail 8:45:22 & tweaks it; M flies out FD 9:21:46; M in BSD 10:06:39, she starts calling out 10:06:49; D in BSD w/mangled fish 10:07:09; M grabs the fish 10:07:11; D moves over & digs in the bole 10:07:44 as M eats; D eyes the fish & M beaks him 10:09:07; D rearranges sticks 10:11:06; M to LB 10:21:41 & out 10:21:45; D moves over to grab the nestover fish 10:21:52; D hops on LB w/fish in beak 10:22:06 & flies out 10:22:07; M in FD 10:23:30; D flies by behind nest 10:32:48; D in BSD in w/stick 10:33:05; stick war 10:33:17; D to RB 11:31:29; D back to nest 11:39:48; D lays in bole kicking feet to shape 11:41:29; gets up 11:42:07; D to RB 11:43:14; D rouses on RB 11:43:38; D out 11:49:57; D in BSD w/stick 11:55:09; D to RB 12:04:02 & out 12:04:43pm; Cam 1 reset 12:49:02, M is still on the nest surveying her domain; M up & over the LB heading out 1:10:25; no nest activity between M’s departure & 4:10:00. D leaves trees behind nest 5:07:54 and heads toward the nest and comes in BSD 5:07:58; M starts her approach 5:08:02 and comes in BSD w/stick 5:08:05; D takes it to place on the right front rail 5:08:08; D turns to fluff bole for M 5:08:44; He moves back to front rail to adjust sticks 5:10:47; D rouses 5:12:34; Digs in bole 5:12:44; he lays in bole 5:22:53 shaping with feet; gets up 5:23:42 and works on Twiggy; D hops to RB 5:33:56; and out 5:36:01; M lays in bole 5:36:45; D in BSD w/stick 5:42:32; he places it on M 5:42:47; M tries to grab it 5:42:48; and stands 5:43:06; M out FD over LB 5:45:46; M flies by right side 5:45:53 on her way to back trees; D out BSD 5:48:46; and heads to back trees; IR light comes on 5:53:30pm.
