(Cam clock not adjusted to DST): EARLY MORN: D fooled us last night by not leaving; he spent the night on the RB & joined M on the nest at 3:01:02am for a couple minutes (screen went black & did not see where D went); D hopped from the RB to the nest 5:24:57 to visit w/M again; starts raining around 5:29; D to RB 5:29:58 & out ?; MORN: IR light off 6:23:14; M out BSD 6:24:03; M in FD just’a squeeing 9:08:43 w/D hot on her heels w/fish 9:08:47, which M promptly takes 9:08:49 & starts to eat, so D digs in the nest; since M wasn’t about to share her fish, D hops to RB 9:11:50 & flies out 9:12:27; M continues to eat, she gulps down the tail 9:16:47; after finishing her meal, M sits around in the nest for a couple hours before heading out the FD 11:31:32. IR light on 7:27:51pm. Rocky peeks over the left rail 9:09:48, peeks over again 9:09:59; Rocky scampers across the nest 9:10:11; Rocky rushes to jump of the back of the nest 9:10:13 as D leaps from the RB  9:10:14; D must hear commotion in the basement because he gives the nest hard pecks 9:10:20 & 9:11:06 and continues to look down; D to RB 9:25:32pm.

Cam 2: M wing-slaps at something (Rocky?) 4:22:01 & calls out 4:22:17 & D returns the chatter; M rolls/fluffs then snuggles down 4:24:16; M gets partially up 5:56:21, rouses 5:56:37, gets up 5:56:58, moves away from bole, & calls incessantly for D 5:57:55; she scratches her head 5:58:34 & preens 5:59:21. MORN (still Cam 2): M finishes preening & heads for the bole for egg duty 6:06:01. Cam 1: M calls to Dad 7:18:19, she gets up 7:20:48 & moves away from bole & calls to D again 7:21:07. [GROUND REPORT FROM BEP: The intruder last night was almost completely mature, very very limited fringing on head fully white tail. Looked male to me based on beak placement but was a pretty large bird. It finally left on its own and flew towards Garden Lakes. Wasn’t much to report. Dad was mewing for help and other bird just watched him. There are actually 3 eagles that came thru at the same time last night. Only one stayed around, other 2 kept on going to the river.] D gets up to roll eggs 7:47:37, 7:59:45, 8:35:15, 8:43:54, 9:23:51, 9:38:19, 10:17:26 & 10:26:21. MORN: M preens 6:47:19, yawns/crop drop 6:52:55, tucks her head 6:53:15 to catch a few more Zzzzz’s; M wakes up & hollers & chatters for D 7:01:34. S/C #1 M gets up 7:20:18 chirping & stretching, she flies out the BSD 7:21:01; D lands on LB 7:21:29 & hops to nest 7:21:32, checks the eggs & snuggles down 7:22:01; IR light off 7:23:14; D up for egg duty 7:25:17 & 7:45:12; D tucks his head to catch a few Zzzzz’s 7:56:33-8:00:03; D takes his egg duty very seriously – he gets up for egg duty 8:04:32, 8:26:52, 8:50:57, 9:37:13, 9:48:50 (crop drop 10:10:24), 10:11:04, 10:40:40, 11:09:02, 11:24:07 & 11:31:21 (rouses 11:31:54); D sings out to M 11:58:30 & 11:59:53; D gets up 12:00:03pm & flaps his wings big time, sings some more & hops to LB 12:00:16 & out 12:00:18. EARLY MORN: D to nest from 11 o’clock branch 1:57:06am, he pecks around a bit then hops to RB 2:00:12; Rocky scampers across the nest & up the 9 o’clock branch 3:12:29; D immediately hops from RB to nest 3:12:32 and says, “Ohhhh no, not on my watch!”; satisfied Rocky has been taken care of, D hops back up to RB 3:47:46; but D is wrong – Rocky scampers through the nest again 5:03:11 & D hops from RB to rail with some wing slaps 5:03:15; D hops back to RB 5:11:19; D to nest 5:56:12; back to RB 5:59:43; D chatters 5:59:54, M answers from a short distance away 6:00:05, they sing a nice duet; D back to nest 6:04:16; D to RB 6:10:38; noise heard (M attempting to land or D leaving?) 7:11:56, M in FD 7:12:04; IR light off 7:22:21; M calls out her breakfast order 7:22:28 then starts fluffing the fluff; D in BSD w/stick 7:24:19; D rouses 7:27:15, hops to LB 7:27:17, flies off 7:27:40; M rouses 7:32:56, flies out FD 7:33:58; D in BSD w/UFO (mangled furry mess, squirrel?) 8:37:56 & you can hear M squeeing; M in BSD 8:38:06; M happily accepts D's food gift 8:38:15; tries gulping it down whole 8:38:38; while M eats, D digs up t& rearranges fluff; D decides it's time to rearrange sticks 8:40:17; D sneezes 8:43:18, then rouses 8:43:55; D to LB 8:46:42 & out 8:46:53; D flies in BSD (over M) w/stick 8:49:38; M tries to get the stick when D places it at her feet 8:50:00, but D takes it back; D relents and gives M the stick 8:50:17; D to RB 8:56:20 & out 8:56:27. M scratches head with left talon 10:39:56, rouses 10:44:19; M flaps wings for balance 11:02:58 & then stretches, does it again 11:06:20; M watches something with interest, lots of neck craning & head turning 11:36:41; M flies out FD 11:47:31. M stayed on the nest overnight; M is still laying down when D lands on LB 7:17:07am; D walks down to nest 7:18:02; D moves a stick 7:19:21; D gently steps on M's tail 7:20:07 as if to tell her to get up; M stands & briefly stretches 7:20:09, D starts fluffing the fluff; M out BSD 7:22:44; IR light off 7:27:02; D out BD 7:30:16; D in BSD w/stick 7:37:44, circles around to find the right place for it; D has round w/Twiggy 7:39:52; D to LB 7:59:15 & out 7:59:39; D in to LB 8:03:40, to nest 8:04:30; D immediately goes to the bole, shakes his tail feathers as he shimmies down & kicks up fluff 8:04:36, then he stands & aerates 8:04:43; D lays down 8:06:30; after pulling fluff around him, D gets up 8:07:57; M in FD 8:09:53; both aerate; D out BD 8:16:12; M preens 8:16:38; D approaches nest 8:24:23, lands w/stick 8:24:26; M takes it, but D takes an end, too 8:24:38 & gets it from M to place in front 8:24:52; finished with that task, D moves a small stick & pinecone 8:25:40 then heads to Twiggy 8:26:16; D out BD 8:29:46; M peers through the trees & watches for D 8:33:25, she calls out 8:33:34; D in BD w/fluff 8:33:37 & M says, “Good job, honey!” D out BSD 8:39:48; Cam 1 reset 8:44:56; M preens 8:58:18; M still alone on nest 9:06:00; D in FD w/stick 9:15:01; finds a place for it then adjusts front rail 9:16:29; D rouses 9:18:28; M turns around flapping wings to help 9:19:38; both digs in nest 9:20:40; Twiggy time 9:22:15; D to LB 9:32:54 and out 9:33:00; M out BSD 9:45:49; D in BSD w/fluff 11:12:25; Does some stick management 11:13:32; moves stick from left to right 11:14:15; lays in bole kicking feet to make it more comfy 11:24:47; gets up to dig and turn 11:25:13; back down kicking again the other direction 11:25:28; gets up 11:25:48; then down again after adjusting a pine cone 11:26:02; up again 11:32:05; D rouses 11:42:52; D out BSD 11:43:15; You can hear him approaching as D comes in FD w/big fish 12:30:26pm and alerts; something must of followed him; He calls for M every so often then alerts 12:48:52; M leaves her spot in trees behind nest, upper right 12:49:34; M in to LB alerting 12:49:43; D starts nibbling on fish 12:50:35; M hops to nest 1:03:42; claims fish as D moves away 1:03:46; D works in bole 1:04:18; D rouses 1:07:32; D moves to nibble at a piece of wayward fish 1:11:44; last piece of fish drops between the rails as M moves 1:13:22; D, intently watching something, darts out FD over RB 1:16:49; M follows going over LB 1:16:53; D in LB/nest 1:48:39; finds leftover fish in rail and begins eating 1:48:50;  he looks around for a bit then goes out BSD 1:54:24; D in LB 2:51:29; calls out 2:54:23; hops to nest 2:54:34; adjusts area around bole 2:55:29; D hops to RB 3:00:27 & out 3:00:47; M approaches nest 5:16:09, enters nest w/stick via BSD 5:16:11, She places stick by the cam2 branch 5:16:17; digs in bole 5:16:32; Finds a morsel to eat by left rail 5:22:01; moves a stick from bole 5:26:14; fluffs bole 5:46:56; M out BSD 5:50:00; IR light comes on 5:50:59. Rocky comes up nest on left side & scampers over to the 9’oclock branch, then to nest 8:00:26 where he finds plenty of morsels to nibble on; Rocky goes down the left side of nest 8:21:11 then back to nest 8:21:14pm for more nibbles.

M out BSD 9:16:24. D in BSD w/fluff 12:09:06pm, after spreading the fluff, he moves a stick 12:09:30 over to right rail; D to LB 12:18:01 & out 12:18:10. D in BSD 12:21:00 & gets busy rearranging sticks; D to RB 12:26:54 & out 12:27:32; D in BSD w/super forked branch 1:52:33 which he almost impales himself on, he struggles to get it placed on the front side rail 1:54:17; D aerates 1:55:54, preens 1:58:12 & shakes his tail feathers 1:58:46; D to LB 2:05:36 & out 2:05:42. D in BSD w/stick 5:32:42, M in right behind him 5:32:48; D aerates while M looks around 5:33:48; D out BSD 5:41:09; IR light on 5:51:3pm; looks like M is spending the night. Cam 1 reset 6:43pm. M calls out 9:02:21 & D answers back from nearby; M moves to the back rail 9:03:08 & PS's off the back; M moves back to the center of the nest 9:03:58 & starts digging 9:04:04, then leans forward to lay down 9:05:50; Rocky runs up & down the LB 9:48:22, M hears him and gives "the look" 9:48:30pm.

M in BSD w/pine twig in beak 12:05:11; D in BSD 12:05:41; D moves a twig which M grabs it away 12:05:47; D takes it and places on left rail 12:05:53; Both dig in nest 12:05:58; M to LB 12:08:08; and out 12:08:10; D rouses 12:13:11; D to LB 12:14:04; and out 12:14:09; D in BD w/a bit of fluff 2:18:24; moves fluff around in bole 2:18:38; moves a stick 2:20:41; Rouses 2:23:30; Seeing something, D goes out FD over LB 2:23:47; D in BD w/stick 4:09:03; places on right front rail 4:09:14; D out FD over LB 4:10:36; IR comes on 5:56:47; Cam 1 reset 6:02pm. M in BSD w/big fish 6:18:13; steps backwards toward edge of nest, wings flapping, while eating 6:31:43, almost backs off the nest 6:31:51; M swallows a big bite fish 6:45:38, vigorously shaking her head to get it down; D calls out from nearby as M continues to eat her meal 6:51:20; M hops to center of nest 6:51:41; Still struggling to finish the fish, M moves to the front of the nest 6:54:13; moves back to the center 6:55:49; picks at the last little bit then leaves it for Rocky 6:56:26; feaks at front 6:56:58; turns and goes out BSD 6:59:07; Rocky appears 7:16:35; takes off with something 7:17:02; takes off with a big piece 7:21:00; He is in and out cleaning up the nest.

Adult Intruder on back branch.

Adult eagle spent the night on the back-left (11 o'clock) branch; Eagles heard chattering nearby (M & D ?) 6:53:34 & 6:54:38am; IR light off 6:54:56; P (D?) leaves perch on a back tree (behind Cam 2 branch) 6:56:20; D leaves back-tree perch 6:56:23; Juvie leaves from same area & then M seen moving & taking off 6:56:23; both P's chase Juvie 6:56:25; Adult intruder on 11-o'clock branch watches the action 6:56:31; Intruder PS's 6:57:23; M flies by behind nest 6:59:31 and comes in BSD 6:59:34; M starts alerting 6:59:38; another eagle alerts (D sounds like he may also be on nest tree) 6:59:45, adult intruder on back branch appears unfazed; M vocal again 7:02:10 & D joins in; D hops from LB to the nest 7:04:37 & both P's vocal; M flies at intruder on back branch & chases it off 7:05:00, D stays on the nest and watches the action; M lands on LB 7:10:33 & hops to nest 7:11:10; M out FD 7:17:08; D rouses 7:18:01 then hops to RB 7:18:03; D flies off 7:18:39; D in FD w/fluff 8:21:18; D to RB 8:24:34; out 8:24:59; D in BD w/branch 8:26:55; Branch is stuck over back rail so D tugs 8:28:05; gets it free 8:28:17; After doing some nestorations, he takes a break and lays in bole 8:39:48; shapes it a bit then gets up 8:39:57; D to LB/out 8:43:05; M in FD 8:45:35; Cam reset 8:46am…M on the nest at reset; D in FD w/fluff & stick 8:48:14, both start working on fluffing & trimming sticks; M tugs on big stick at left rail 8:53:10 as D works on right rail; D to LB 9:09:58 & out 9:10:06; D flies in BD w/big forked stick 9:10:38; once satisfied with his stick placement, D moves over to resume working on wonky stick at right rail 9:15:16; D rouses 9:21:48; D to LB 9:22:13 & out 9:22:41; another beautiful fly-in the BD by D w/stick 9:24:40; D lays in bole 9:30:30; gets up 9:31:10; D to LB 9:41:41 & out 9:42:00; D flies in BD w/stick 9:45:30; D to LB 9:49:13 & out 9:50:17; D in BSD w/big stick 9:52:48; D rouses 10:03:38; D does some more nestorations then hops to the RB 10:25:14; M gets her foot stuck for a sec then digs in bole 10:25:21; D out 10:26:00; D in FD w/fluff 10:28:32; D to RB 10:44:22 and out 10:45:25; M to LB/out 10:45:48.  D in BSD 5:17:15; M in BSD 5:17:26; Both dig in the bole; D works on the wonky stick 5:22:29; D goes back to the bole as M watches the area 5:23:39; D works on left rail 5:24:16; M stumbles her way to the front 5:24:45; D lays in bole 5:27:02; gets up to work on wonky stick again 5:28:08; M moves toward BSD 5:29:06; M out BSD 5:29:18; M starts alerting 5:36:59; D starts alerting 5:37:06; D out BSD 5:37:31; Different call.. maybe juvie 5:38:50 as M & D still alert; Coyotes start howling 5:45:09; They really start howling and sound closer 5:46:54; All is quiet as the IR comes on 6:01:21. Ground Report from BerryEaglPhotog on Cam 1 Chat: Don’t know how much you can hear but juvie is with them in the trees behind nest. Mom not happy. Think there is probably a dead deer now. Could hear them not see them. But when they stop whining usually not good.  Rocky bops around the nest 8:00:55-8:02:41 and 8:06:06-8:06:14; P's chatter in the background 9:88:30; Rocky again 9:39:07-9:41:01pm.

M in FD 7:43:56; IR light off 7:51:32; M out BSD 7:58:12; M in FD w/partial coot 9:07:13 & starts eating; M out BSD 9:21:59; beautiful fly-in the BD by D carrying a twig 9:37:34; D rouses 9:39:42; D out BSD 9:40:08. IR comes on 7:07:16; eagle chatter 10:11:56pm & 10:23:53; Rocky scampers around the nest 10:23:58pm.

Monday - October 15, 2018

Rocky hangs out on the back right limbs 6:10:43am; he scurries to the right & out of sight on the cam pole 6:16:49; IR light off 7:28:49. D in BD 2:43:33pm, he gets comfortable & watches the world go by; D is still all comfy at 3:45:00; D to LB 4:19:11 & out 4:20:09. M in LSD 7:03:26, panting hard; D in FD 7:04:27; D to RB 7:16:08 (I'm not sure if he left or if he's still out there); IR light on 7:30:20pm.
