EARLY
MORN: M stands up 1:08:05am, stretches 1:08:15, calls to D 1:08:26 & he
answers, M PS's 1:09:34, M rolls-n-fluffs 1:10:31, snuggles back down 1:12:15; M
stands up to preen 3:05:48, moves to the left-front rail, bites at a stick
that's between her feet 3:07:30, PS's 3:07:51, calls to D 3:07:56 & he
answers, does a good long head scratch 3:08:41 then preens again, rolls eggs
& fluffs the fluff 3:12:52, shimmies down to incubate 3:13:53. Cam 2: M
wing-slaps at something (Rocky?) 4:22:01 & calls out 4:22:17 & D
returns the chatter; M rolls/fluffs then snuggles down 4:24:16; M gets
partially up 5:56:21, rouses 5:56:37, gets up 5:56:58, moves away from bole, &
calls incessantly for D 5:57:55; she scratches her head 5:58:34 & preens
5:59:21. MORN (still Cam 2): M finishes preening & heads for the bole for
egg duty 6:06:01. Cam 1: M calls to Dad 7:18:19, she gets up 7:20:48 &
moves away from bole & calls to D again 7:21:07. S/C #1 D lands on LB 7:21:32, M out BSD 7:21:35; D moves down LB
& steps onto nest 7:21:47, he checks his eggs & snuggles down 7:22:12;
D up for egg duty 7:23:14; IR light off 7:25:28. [GROUND REPORT FROM BEP: The
intruder last night was almost completely mature, very very limited fringing on
head fully white tail. Looked male to me based on beak placement but was a
pretty large bird. It finally left on its own and flew towards Garden Lakes.
Wasn’t much to report. Dad was mewing for help and other bird just watched him.
There are actually 3 eagles that came thru at the same time last night. Only
one stayed around, other 2 kept on going to the river.] D gets up to roll eggs
7:47:37, 7:59:45, 8:35:15, 8:43:54, 9:23:51, 9:38:19, 10:17:26 & 10:26:21. S/C #2 D stands up 10:40:22, M in BSD
w/nice large straight branch 10:40:25, D chirps 10:40:27 then flaps up to &
over the LB 10:40:28; M picks up the branch 10:40:58 then drops it 10:41:05, M
rolls-n-fluffs 10:42:22, wiggles down 10:44:01, then turns to pick at some
fluff; M does some serious wing preening 11:20:14; M up for egg duty 11:38:32,
she repositions & fluffs the fluff then snuggles down 11:42:34; preens that
wing 12:10:44, 12:20:15; M up for egg duty 12:42:05; more preening 1:41:16,
2:34:57; M
shimmies 2:35:14 & she just can’t stop that preening/itching today; M gets
up slowly using her wings for support 3:29:30, she rolls her eggs 3:30:05 &
fluffs; M moves a stick 3:31:22 & eyes the sky 3:31:32 & then calls out
for D 3:31:39. S/C #3 M out BSD
3:32:11; D lands on LB 3:32:27 chattering, he makes his way down the LB &
steps onto nest 3:33:00, he rolls the eggs & snuggles down 3:33:31pm.
