Sunrise 6:41am/Sunset 8:50pm.  IR light off 6:22:09; D in BSD 11:27:08; D lays down 12:53:14; D stands up 1:12:15 & looks around; M in BSD 1:12:31; D works on sticks, then beaks at M 1:15:20; they both look around (it's a windy day) & seem to be tracking something; D calls out 1:57:14, 1:57:33 & 1:57:44 as M & D track something; both M & D vocal 1:57:51; D does a bit of nestkeeping 1:58:38; M turns around in the nest, wing-whacking D in the process 2:18:26; D walks up on the front rail 2:20:11, hops to LB 2:20:15; D walks down the branch 2:21:12, hops to the nest 2:21:14 & pecks at the fluff; brief beaking 2:23:36; D out BSD 2:24:07; D flies to perch in a tree behind nest 2:24:21; a feather flies off the back side of the nest 2:27:19 & 2:27:24; D in over RB w/stick 2:31:53; D to LB 2:36:58; D preens 2:40:11, D drops a feather onto the nest 2:40:15, the wind blows D's feather 2:40:46 & M picks it up 2:40:49; D rouses 2:43:17 then turns around on the branch 2:43:22; D flies off 2:45:28 and M keeps her eyes on him; M out BSD 2:48:17; IR light on 9:10:09pm.

IR light off 6:23:37am. D in BSD 3:57:47; M in BSD 4:00:31; D fluffs & M supervises; D hops to RB 4:07:58 & out 4:08:36; D in BSD 4:12:06 with a small twiggy stick, which he places on the right front rail; after standing on the right front rail for a minute or so, D hops to RB 4:32:36 & out 4:33:55; D lands on a branch way back behind the nest tree on the right (he looks like a speck) 4:42:34; he moves to another branch 4:44:46; D flies to yet another branch 4:45:47 then he drops down out of view behind the nest 4:46:00 (not sure if he’s playing hide-n-seek or trying to entice M); fly-by 4:47:51, D in BSD 4:47:57; M out over LB 5:01:56; D waits a couple minutes to see if M is coming back, decides she isn’t so out the BSD he goes at 5:03:48; M in BSD w/stick 5:24:17; D lands on LB 5:29:42, to nest 5:29:52; D moves a stick 5:30:03; M backs up on right front rail & perches, giving D room for his fluffing duties 5:30:48; D to RB 5:46:40 & out 5:47:10; D in BSD w/stick 5:49:18, M patiently watches D place his stick & rearranges other ones; D to LB 6:04:20, D turns around to face the nest 6:04:45 & rouses 6:04:57; D turns around again 6:05:48 & flies out 6:06:04; M looks around, preening occasionally, finally lays down 8:05:56; M stands up 8:51:44; Cam reset 8:54; IR light on 9:14:48 & M is still on the nest.

(Cam clock not adjusted to DST):  D in BSD 6:03:39am; IR light off 6:10:24; D to LB 6:11:23, rouses 6:11:54, turns around 6:12:38, then flies out 6:12:49; M in FD 8:51:00; M spends the nest hour sitting around & occasionally preening, she’s still on the nest 10:07:40; don’t know what was on M’s mind, but she spent the whole day on the nest today, M out FD 5:52:22; D in BSD 7:11:56, he digs in the nest 7:12:10, then look around, D out BSD 7:14:26; IR light on 7:31:15pm.

(Cam clock not adjusted to DST): M stayed on the nest overnight; M calls to D 6:09:55am; D in BSD 6:12:18; M digs in the nest while D moves a twig 6:12:30, then both takes turns aerating the fluff; D rouses 6:16:39; IR light off 6:20:24; M to LB 6:21:05 & out 6:21:32; D quickly follows by hopping on LB 6:21:36 & flying out 6:21:39; D in BSD w/headless fish 5:34:04pm; D moves his fish & starts eating 5:35:41; D finishes the fish 5:41:58; D picks at the fluff, starts digging in the nest 5:42:58; looks around for a quite a while before sitting down 6:44:59; D stands up 7:03:11; D to LB 7:04:02 & out 7:04:33; IR light on 7:20:40pm.

Black dirt? Mangled road kill?) 7:00:25; doesn’t look like M can figure out what it is either, lol; they both do a little nestorizing; M to LB 7:08:41 & out 7:09:12; D waits around for a minute or so watching to see if M comes back, but she doesn’t so he flies out the BSD 7:11:09; IR light on 7:17:17pm.

(Cam clock not adjusted to DST): D in BSD 6:39:35 & digs in nest; IR light off 6:40:15; M in BSD w/fluff 6:46:43; D out BSD 6:50:31; M out BSD 7:00:23; D in FD w/UFO 9:52:08; M in FD right behind D 9:52:14; D feeds M a couple bites 9:52:18 of something he had right in front of him, not the UFO; D nestorizes 9:52:58 & M watches; both just sit & survey the area for five minutes or so, then D goes back to fluffing fluff 9:57:46; D stops fluffing 9:58:21 & sits w/M enjoying the day; D decides to rest a bit & lays down in the bole 10:03:33, kicking his feet up as he’s prone to do (lol); M starts eating 10:47:45; D gets up 10:49:37 & fluffs some more; D to RB 10:53:01 & out 10:53:22; unfortunately, M is facing the BD whiles she eats, but she appears to be enjoying her meal immensely; M finally turns sideways so we can see her chow down at 11:09:10 just in time to see her try and gulp down the last of it 11:10:54, but she can’t so she goes back to eating it; the big gulp comes at 11:14:18; M out BSD 11:16:20; D in to LB 1:16:14; preens 1:23:58; rouses 1:34:38; D out w/o going to nest 1:50:24; Cam 1 reset 6:08pm; D in BSD w/fish 6:40:42 with a squealing M hot on his heels 6:40:46; M grabs the fish 6:40:55; M gulps down the fish 6:42:58 while D watches; D moves a stick 6:43:05 then digs in the fluff; M out BSD 6:48:02; D arranges some fluff 6:48:13; after a couple of false starts, D flies out BSD 6:52:22; IR light comes on 7:07:11pm.

Note: Cam clock has not been adjusted for DST so is an hour behind 'real' ET (times recorded here are cam clock times).  Cam reset 3:58:25, M still on the nest preening; M leans forward to track something 4:11:28; M stretches wings 4:36:55; M to LB 4:40:44 & out 4:40:47;  meadowlark starts calling from nearby 4:44:25; D in BD w/fluff 6:35:49; D rouses 6:38:10; D to LB 6:41:05 & out 6:41:14; D lands on LB 6:58:36 & calls to M; M flies by right side 7:00:35 then toward nest 7:00:38 and in BSD 7:00:43, D hops to nest 7:00:40 and both dig in the nest; D works on right rail 7:02:52 & M rearranges fluff; D to RB 7:03:52; M to front rail 7:05:16 then to RB 7:02:29; IR light on 7:06:05; D flies off 7:06:44, M leaves 7:07:32pm.

MORN: M resting comfortably at 6:00:00; M calls out to D 7:05:56; IR light off 7:26:28; S/C #1 D in BSD w/fluff 7:26:52; D moves a stick & M gets up 7:27:24, M out BSD 7:27:54; D rolls his eggs 7:28:08 & shimmies down 7:28:25; D up for egg duty 8:27:20; S/C #2 M in FD w/fluff 8:34:49, D ignores her at first but then gets up at 8:35:15; he steps away from the bole jabbering & hops to LB 8:35:32, he tells M, “I’ll see you later, honey” & takes off 8:35:51; M rolls eggs 8:36:37, snuggles down 8:38:06; M stands up for egg duty 9:21:40, 10:12:34; S/C #3 D in BSD w/stick 11:37:56 which lands on M, M stands up 11:37:59, D helps get the stick off M 11:38:08, M goes to LB 11:38:28 & out 11:38:38, D tries to duck under the stick as he heads to the eggs 11:38:46, but opts to backup then walk around it 11:38:56, rolls eggs 11:39:03 & snuggles down 11:39:23; D messes with stick then checks on eggs 11:40:36; more stick work then checks eggs 11:42:28; Finally gets fed up with stick and gets up 11:55:54 and moves it to left side of nest 11:56:04; rolls eggs 11:56:17; snuggles down 11:56:25; S/C #4 M in FD w/fluff 12:23:03; M preens her wing then waits for D to move 12:23:34; D greets her 12:23:08; M almost puts fluff on D 12:23:14; D gets up 12:24:14; D to RB 12:24:44; and out 12:25:09 as M makes her way to bole; rolls eggs 12:25:16; M wiggles onto eggs 12:27:03; M up for egg duty 1:26:37 (listen closely for chirps 1:27:59); M up again for egg duty 1:35:39 (listen for the chirps at 1:35:55); M crop drop 2:18:54; M preens 2:19:00 & gives her eggs several good rolls 2:19:18, she shimmies down 2:20:34; S/C #5 D in FD w/squirrel 2:41:37 & M thanks him by chirping softly, D picks up stick as if to place on M 2:47:03, M stands up 2:43:17, D heads over to the eggs 2:44:15, M hops to LB 2:44:29, D rolls eggs 2:44:32, M flies out 2:44:40, D snuggles down 2:44:46; S/C #6 M in FD 3:02:25, D's not budging or taking the hint from M's chirps, M rouses 3:07:16, M moves to back of nest and gives D the stink eye 3:09:24, they have a chirp-off to go with the stand-off (lol); after ignoring her, D finally meets her gaze 3:12:00, D slowly stands up & moves away from the eggs 3:12:10, D to LB 3:12:33, D turns around on the LB as M moves to the eggs 3:12:47, M rolls eggs 3:12:53, D flies off 3:13:01, M snuggles down 3:14:15; from her prone position, M grabs D’s stick 3:15:14 & tries to move it (she should have left it alone); she ends up getting up, getting tangled in it & tripping over it, not to mention almost causing it to land on the eggs 3:15:34; M uses everything but the kitchen sink to get that branch moved & under control; i.e., beak, wings, talons & brute strength; she finally gets it propped up on the right rail 3:18:05 & snuggles down 3:19:30. M stays hunkered down for the rest of the afternoon protecting her eggs from the rain; IR on 6:36:51; M still hunkered down 6:50:12pm. Cam 1 reset 7:13:07pm.

EARLY MORN: M wakes up & gets up with a shimmy 1:20:48am, slowly flapping her wings in the process; She rouses 1:21:07 & preens then rolls eggs & aerates the bole 1:28:38; M backs up from the bole 1:26:39, steps to the side & calls out to D 1:27:00, flaps her wings 1:27:03, calls out again 1:27:05 & chatters a bit; she preens her brood patch 1:27:39, PS off the back left rail 1:29:16 then heads to the bole; she rolls her eggs & aerates the bole 1:29:44; M repositions & shimmies down 1:31:01; M up for egg duty 2:37:38; M up for egg duty 4:36:20 & 5:14:05, she rouses to shed the rain. MORN: 6:00am & M is sleeping; M preens a bit before tucking her head for Zzzzz’s 6:16:15; S/C #1 M gets up 6:52:46, she preens then moves away from bole 6:54:07; M gives a little chirp 6:54:23, looks for D then flies out BSD 6:54:46; D in BD 6:55:30, he rolls his eggs & shimmies down 6:56:12; D stands up to roll eggs 7:11:20; IR light off 7:12:02; D up for egg duty 8:08:24, 8:39:30; S/C #2 D stands up 9:32:52 & M flies in FD w/fluff 9:32:53, D talks to M 9:32:54 then hops to LB 9:33:01 & out 9:33:08, M spreads fluff 9:33:25 then looks around (tracking D?) 9:33:52; M rolls eggs & fluffs fluff 9:36:42, snuggles down 9:38:09; M crop drop 10:45:50; D in to LB w/fluff 10:47:46; D shuffles down branch to nest 10:47:56; since M isn't budging, D nibbles at a few sticks on left side 10:49:19; D turns and goes out FD over LB 10:49:52; fluff-n-roll 12:24:48; M watches something 1:18:15, vocal 1:18:24 & continues tracking; M chirps 1:26:18; S/C #3 D lands on LB w/stick 1:35:02, M stands up 1:35:10, D steps to nest to place his stick 1:35:17, M to LB 1:35:28 & out 1:35:33, D rolls eggs 1:35:45, snuggles down 1:35:59; D repositions/rolls eggs 2:06:42, 3:10:33, 3:14:15, 4:16:21; S/C #4 M in BD w/fluff 4:17:05, D asks her why she insists on landing on him then gets up 4:17:28; D hops to RB 4:17:35 & out 4:17:47; M rolls her eggs & aerates 4:19:15, she snuggles down 4:21:21; Cam 1 reset 6:07:02; . . . IR light on 6:43:08; M up for egg duty 6:49:18, 6:54:05; Rocky is surprised to see M & flies right past her 7:24:58; M shimmies as she gets up for egg duty 8:33:57, she preens her brood patch 8:35:40, tends to her eggs then calls out to D 8:38:13 & they have a bedtime chat; more chatter from M 8:39:14; M finally snuggles down 8:45:07, but calls out to D in the process (don’t know what has her petticoat in a wad); M up again for egg duty 8:49:16, she tucks herself in 8:52:30pm; . . . M is sleeping at 11:00:00pm; all seems right in the loblolly pine in Berry Land – all we need is a pip or two.

S/C #1 M stands up 7:11:22, flies out BSD 7:12:31, fly-by behind nest 7:12:28, D lands on LB 7:12:47, walks down LB, steps to nest 7:13:05, rolls eggs 7:13:15, wiggles down 7:13:22; IR light off 7:14:53; D didn’t move a thing except his head for well over an hour; D finally gets up for egg duty 8:54:38; D up 9:32:44 & moves away from bole, then back to bole to roll his eggs a few times 9:33:12, he snuggles down 9:33:28; D up again 9:36:01 for egg duty; D up 10:02:43 & to LB 10:02:55, rouses, calls M, moves down LB 10:03:45, flaps his wings as he steps onto nest, rolls eggs & shimmies down 10:04:09; S/C #2 D spots M & calls out 10:06:41; M in BSD w/fluff 10:06:42; D chatters away as he gets up 10:06:50, hops to LB & out 10:07:05; in the meantime, M spreads her fluff; M grabs the big yellow stick 10:07:24 & moves it up on the right rail, then feaks before making her way to the eggs 10:08:11; M rolls-n-fluffs 10:08:32, finally snuggles down 10:11:41; M up for egg duty 10:39:53; D in BSD w/UFO 11:16:35 & M squees; D out BSD 11:17:52. M up for egg duty 11:07:38, 11:41:30, 1:38:58, 1:45:05 & 1:45:41; M takes care of an itch 2:54:13 then gets up for egg duty 2:55:14 & 3:08:39; S/C #3 M chirps/calls out & then full-fledge alerts 3:26:29, D lands on 11-o’clock branch 3:26:48 & joins in the alert; M gets up 3:26:58 & carefully moves away from the bole 3:27:07, she searches the area then flies out the BSD 3:27:24; D glides to nest 3:27:31, checks his eggs & snuggles down 3:27:53; D up for egg duty 3:55:55 & 4:22:17; D gets up 5:01:23 & calls out quite loudly, scratches his head 5:02:00 & rouses 5:02:23; D tends to his eggs 5:03:26; S/C #4 M in BSD w/branch 5:10:04; D gets up 5:10:10, steps up to Y-nook 5:10:20 chatters to M, hops up the LB 5:10:42 & M gets vocal; D flies out FD 5:10:49; M tries to move the branch 5:11:34 but doesn’t have much luck; M checks her eggs 5:14:45 & snuggles down 5:15:40; M gets up 5:58:52 for egg duty; M’s tail feathers & petticoats blow in the wind as M gets up 6:26:29, she has a hard time because the wonky branch is in her way; M grabs the wonky branch w/her beak & tries to get it under control 6:26:53, she manages to extract herself from its clutches 6:27:03 & tries moving it; M manages to grab it loose 6:27:49 & after a couple of tenuous minutes (afraid she was going to step on her eggs), gets it placed on the front rail 6:29:30; M peers out the BSD as D comes in w/fish 6:29:41 (NOW he shows up!); M & D talk & then he flies out the BD 6:30:17; M makes short work of the fish (gives a new meaning to "gone in 60 seconds") Okay, not that quick; M swallows tail 6:32:08; Energized, she returns to tackling the branch 6:32:40; M grabs it and using her wings to help, she pushes it farther onto the front rail 6:34:21; and again at 6:35:07; M grabs it and hops with it onto the  rail 6:35:27; M returns her attention back to the eggs 6:36:18; IR comes on 6:36:39; Rolls and fluffs then settles 6:39:47pm.

A hawk is circling around, mom is keeping her eye on it.” S/C #2 D gets up 12:12:00pm & calls to M; M flies in over LB 12:12:06 & D hops to LB 12:12:09, rouses & takes off; M picks up some fluff in her beak 12:12:11 & half-heartedly spreads it; she slowly approaches the bole & checks her eggs 12:13:00 then snuggles down 12:14:59, only to get right back up to fluff/roll & reposition herself; M snuggles back down 12:15:45; M up for egg duty 12:55:24; M preens 1:50:05 & 2:39:45; M gets up 2:43:10 to fluff/roll; she peers through the trees 2:44:03 then goes back to fluffing & rolling; M alerts for a few seconds 2:45:23 then turns her attention back to her eggs, she snuggles down 2:46:10; M gets up carefully for egg duty 3:37:45; crop drop 4:07:56; M gets up 4:08:03 & steps away from eggs (she has some difficulty steadying herself), PS off back rail 4:09:00 then heads back to eggs. S/C # 3 M calls out to D 4:09:18 & chatters away & D comes running (errrr make that flying) & lands on LB 4:09:28 (he moves out of view); M chirps & heads out BSD 4:09:56; D moves into view & hops to nest 4:10:13, he rolls/fluffs & shimmies down 4:10:51; Cam 2: D up for egg duty 4:12:34 & 4:37:54. S/C #4 D gets up 5:02:56 & heads out the FD 5:03:12: M in via the FD 5:03:52, she checks her eggs & shimmies down 5:06:20. Cam 1 reset 5:31:25pm – back to Cam 1: S/C #5 M chirps & squees softly 5:46:07 then the squees get louder as D flies in BSD w/partial coot 5:46:19; M continues to squee, she gets up 5:47:17 & D feeds her a bite 5:47:22; still squeeing, M moves away from her eggs & gets her coot 5:47:50; M eats & D goes over for egg duty 5:48:08; M gulps down the last of her dinner 5:51:29.
