2:57:05, 3:55:53, 4:37:44 & 5:05:56am. MORN: M resting comfortably at
6:00:00; M calls out to D 7:05:56; IR light off 7:26:28; S/C #1 D in BSD w/fluff 7:26:52; D moves a stick & M gets up
7:27:24, M out BSD 7:27:54; D rolls his eggs 7:28:08 & shimmies down 7:28:25;
D up for egg duty 8:27:20; S/C #2 M
in FD w/fluff 8:34:49, D ignores her at first but then gets up at 8:35:15; he
steps away from the bole jabbering & hops to LB 8:35:32, he tells M, “I’ll
see you later, honey” & takes off 8:35:51; M rolls eggs 8:36:37, snuggles
down 8:38:06; M stands up for egg duty 9:21:40, 10:12:34; S/C #3 D in BSD w/stick 11:37:56 which lands on M, M stands up
11:37:59, D helps get the stick off M 11:38:08, M goes to LB 11:38:28 & out
11:38:38, D tries to duck under the stick as he heads to the eggs 11:38:46, but
opts to backup then walk around it 11:38:56, rolls eggs 11:39:03 & snuggles
down 11:39:23; D messes with stick then checks on eggs 11:40:36; more stick
work then checks eggs 11:42:28; Finally gets fed up with stick and gets up
11:55:54 and moves it to left side of nest 11:56:04; rolls eggs 11:56:17;
snuggles down 11:56:25; S/C #4 M in
FD w/fluff 12:23:03; M preens her wing then waits for D to move 12:23:34; D
greets her 12:23:08; M almost puts fluff on D 12:23:14; D gets up 12:24:14; D
to RB 12:24:44; and out 12:25:09 as M makes her way to bole; rolls eggs
12:25:16; M wiggles onto eggs 12:27:03; M up for egg duty 1:26:37 (listen
closely for chirps 1:27:59); M up again for egg duty 1:35:39 (listen for the
chirps at 1:35:55); M crop drop 2:18:54; M preens 2:19:00 & gives her eggs several
good rolls 2:19:18, she shimmies down 2:20:34; S/C #5 D in FD w/squirrel 2:41:37 & M thanks him by chirping
softly, D picks up stick as if to place on M 2:47:03, M stands up 2:43:17, D
heads over to the eggs 2:44:15, M hops to LB 2:44:29, D rolls eggs 2:44:32, M
flies out 2:44:40, D snuggles down 2:44:46; S/C #6 M in FD 3:02:25, D's not budging or taking the hint from M's
chirps, M rouses 3:07:16, M moves to back of nest and gives D the stink eye
3:09:24, they have a chirp-off to go with the stand-off (lol); after ignoring
her, D finally meets her gaze 3:12:00, D slowly stands up & moves away from
the eggs 3:12:10, D to LB 3:12:33, D turns around on the LB as M moves to the
eggs 3:12:47, M rolls eggs 3:12:53, D flies off 3:13:01, M snuggles down
3:14:15; from her prone position, M grabs D’s stick 3:15:14 & tries to move
it (she should have left it alone); she ends up getting up, getting tangled in
it & tripping over it, not to mention almost causing it to land on the eggs
3:15:34; M
uses everything but the kitchen sink to get that branch moved & under
control; i.e., beak, wings, talons & brute strength; she finally gets it
propped up on the right rail 3:18:05 & snuggles down 3:19:30. M stays
hunkered down for the rest of the afternoon protecting her eggs from the rain;
IR on 6:36:51; M still hunkered down 6:50:12pm. Cam 1 reset 7:13:07pm.
