Pip Watch –38 days for Egg #2. EARLY EARLY MORN: M gets up for egg duty shortly after midnight (12:16am) & chirps are heard & an absolute for real pip is seen (YAY!); EARLY MORN: M is sleeping w/her head tucked 5:00am. MORN: M still sleeping w/her head tucked 6:00am; M wakes up & preens 6:46:10; D calls from nearby 7:03:24; M answers 7:03:26; moves through trees upper right behind cam 2 branch 7:04:35, 7:05:19, 7:05:50; D flies off back tree 7:06:50 and flies past left side of nest 7:06:51 IR light off 7:07:04; yawn 7:12:14 & another 7:12:20 (or mini crop drops, lol); M up for egg duty 7:12:34, she rolls her eggs & really fluffs the fluff then she tries to move the in-the-way stick 7:13:59, more egg tending & fluffing then she shimmies down 7:14:58 just as D lands on LB; S/C #1 D eases down the LB 7:16:49; M chirps softly 7:17:03, she gets up 7:17:20, steadies herself then flies out BSD 7:17:40; D rolls the eggs 7:17:54 & shimmies down 7:18:05; D up for egg duty 7:31:52, 7:50:36, 7:53:26 & 8:18:34; S/C #2 beautiful BSD fly-in w/stick by M 8:50:34; no stand-off this morning, D gets right up 8:50:40 & hops to RB 8:50:49 & out 8:51:01; M rolls the eggs & aerates the nest 8:51:42, she snuggles down 8:52:45; not quite right, M is up & repositioning herself 8:52:52, she snuggles down again 8:53:24; and right back up again 8:53:32 to aerate, then snuggles down 8:53:40; M up for egg duty 8:57:58; M raises up to listen & give a look-see 9:04:53; D lands in Y-nook w/small stick (I think) 9:05:12, he hops up the LB 9:08:20, rouses 9:08:45, takes off 9:09:13(?); M up for egg duty 9:40:15 & 10:07:26; M up again 10:08:47; M gets up so many times between 10:09 & 1:07, I lost count; suffice it to say the eggs are being well taken care of ; S/C #3 M calls out 1:03:10; D lands on LB 1:06:49; M chirps softly 1:07:17, she gets up 1:07:50 & flies out BSD 1:08:16; D comes into view on LB 1:08:14, down to Y-nook & onto nest 1:08:20; D tends to his eggs & shimmies down 1:08:41; D up for egg duty 2:04:10; S/C #4 M in w/partial coot(?) 2:30:40; D gets up 2:30:43 & hops to RB 2:30:57 & out 2:31:06; M checks her eggs 2:31:34 & snuggles down 2:32:53; M gets up to roll eggs 3:45:27, 3:46:41; M calls out 3:51:38 and D answers back; M up for roll 3:53:08, M shifts and listens to eggs 3:57:57 then gets up to roll 3:59:08; S/C #5 D in FD w/stick 4:04:48; He places it on M the drags another one over her back and she grabs the end 4:05:28; M gets up 4:05:56; D abandons his stick work to go to eggs and rolls them 4:06:14; M out BSD 4:06:16; D wiggles onto the chirping eggs 4:06:39; quick peek and roll 4:07:32, 4:08:24; D up for reposition and egg roll 4:31:53, 4:48:04, (peek 4:51:03), 4:52:07; S/C #6 M in BSD w/fluff 4:56:09; M panting, waits for D who finally gets up 4:57:13; D hops to RB 4:57:20; and out 4:57:28; M makes her way to bole 4:57:56; rolls eggs 4:58:16; repositions and rolls a few more times before wiggling onto eggs 4:59:32, no 4:59:52, no wait 5:00:18; M up for egg duty 5:23:36; M tracks D 5:46:14; D in BSD w/headless fish 5:46:19, M chirps her thanks but tells him, “I’m not that hungry right now”; M beaks D’s beak 5:47:31; D moves a stick 5:48:01 & does some general house-cleaning; D sits on M & backs over her 5:48:43 (now M curses under her breath); D to LB 5:49:30 & out 5:49:48; IR light off 6:47:37pm.
