vocalizes as she gets up 6:32:35am to check her egg, change positions &
fluff & roll; she settles back down 6:34:44 & tucks her head to catch a
few more Zzzzzz’s 6:35:51; M calls to D several times 7:14:53; can see D in
background flying his usual BSD approach 7:18:50 prior to landing 7:18:52; M
chirps & D waits patiently for her to get up 7:19:51; S/C #1 M to LB (has a
bit of a hard time) 7:20:35 & out 7:20:41; D rolls & fluffs 7:21:01,
shimmies down 7:21:27, gets right back up 7:21:35, changes positions, fluffs
& rolls some more then settles down again 7:22:12; D tracks something 7:47:33, M vocal from
nearby 7:48:25, D answers her 7:49:39; D stands up 7:54:16 & looks around,
rolls egg 7:54:46, lays back down 7:54:53;
D still on duty as of 10:22; D gets up 8:16:27; rolls egg 8:16:35; back
down 8:16:44; nips at pine bough moving it back and forth 8:18:01; gets up for
position change and egg roll 8:37:01; 9:07:00; 9:07:42; 9:41:35; 9:42:15;
10:20:48; 10:50:27; D gets up and flaps wings 11:33:55; calls out 11:34:15; D
out BSD 11:34:20; D in to LB 11:35:48;
to nest 11:35:56; rolls egg then lays down 11:36:09; M can be heard alerting
(probably from her favorite perch) 11:37:28; D alerts after watching something
then gets up 11:37:33; D alerts for a while and mom can be heard as well
11:39:42; D out FD 11:46:43. Ground report per Gena: A sub-adult (possibly 3 yr old) followed M
in, there was no altercation. D in FD

FD 12:28:14, D vocal 12:18:17, D to LB 12:18:23, M vocal 12:18:27, D out
12:18:36; M rolls egg & fluffs fluff 12:19:09, lays down 12:20:39; M gets

rouses 2:24:26; M calls out again 2:33:29; D walks down LB 2:35:29 as M speaks

different sub-adult (possibly 4 yr old) flew over the nest tree. S/C #3 M gets
up 2:35:38; D talks back 2:35:44; M out BSD 2:36:21; D follows M 2:36:29; D in
to LB 2:37:08; to nest 2:37:34; rolls egg then lays down 2:37:54; up again
2:38:05; checks egg then back down 2:38:19; gets up 2:55:42; back down 2:56:05;
up to roll and re position 3:18:47; down 3:19:01; gets up 3:31:27; vocal
3:31:37; D watches around for a bit then goes back to roll egg 3:33:01; lays
down 3:33:08; gets up 3:39:29; D rouses 3:40:35; D out BD 3:41:08; D lands on
LB 3:41:35; flies through nest & out BD 3:42:58; D in to LB 3:44:38, calls
out (woman, where are you?) 3:44:42; S/C #4 D out BD over nest again 3:46:21
and flies to back trees, M in FD 3:46:48; rolls egg 3:47:19; lays down 3:48:33;
M calls out a few times 4:38:18; softly calls again 5:13:21 & several more
times; M stands up 5:24:02 to roll egg, softly calls for D a few times;
snuggles down 5:25:56; she's still calling to D 5:48:28. M
tucks her head & goes to sleep 6:09:40; IR light on 6:15:57pm. M crop drop
10:53:47, stands up 10:54:35, rolls egg 10:54:54, slowly backs up to the rail
10:56:10, PS's 10:56:40, then moves over
to roll egg, lays back down 10:58:08pm.
