M
stayed on the nest overnight, she PS’s off the back rail 5:11:48am, and then she
casts a huge pellet 7:26:27 (ohhhh what a relief it is!); M stretches 7:27:36;
moves to center of nest 7:28:36 & aerates 7:28:45; D flies behind nest
(low) 7:28:54 & lands on LB 7:29:03, hops to nest 7:29:33; M to LB 7:32:52
& out 7:32:56; D picks up nestover wing 7:33:06 & flies out BSD
7:33:14; IR light off 7:34:27; D in BSD with twig/fluff 7:56:54; D gets another
wing & hops to LB 8:03:08 & out 8:03:11; M in FD w/stick 8:13:12; D in
BSD w/stick 8:16:08; D briefly lays own 8:24:25; something gets their attention
& the both watch closely 8:25:29; M's still watching whatever it is as D
goes back to work, fluffing the fluff 8:33:10; D plops down 8:34:36 to check
the bole for comfort, pops back up 8:34:46; both now watching something
8:34:56; D rouses 8:42:32, D to RB 8:48:47 & out 8:49:09; D in FD w/stick
8:50:35; M's still interested in something nearby, D's just interested in his
sticks; M voices a complaint 9:00:05; D pulls up a huge pile of fluff 9:00:35;
M crop drop 9:00:45; M still seems to be tracking something 9:02:05, D takes
interest 9:02:22; M vocally alerts 9:02:48, D joins her 9:02:52; M moves over and
sings D a love song 9:18:39 and lovingly nips his back feathers; M flies out
BSD 9:22:08 & D follows 9:22:32. E flies behind nest 10:05:31; D in FD
w/fluff 10:05:40; goes to right rail to adjust 10:06:24; grabs a twiggy stick
to relocate 10:08:32; after a few "it doesn't look right there", he
finally places it back where it was to begin with 10:09:19; D pulls at a bigger
stick 10:10:00; D out BSD 10:32:12; M in BSD 10:34:38; D flies behind nest
10:40:30; D in FD w/stick 10:40:40; D rouses 10:44:01; D beak pecks M 10:49:34
then digs in nest; M intently watching something 10:50:43; D joins the watch
10:51:20; after lots of head twisting and neck bobbing, D out BSD 10:58:34; M
out BSD 10:58:55. M in BSD 2:19:09; M scratches head w/left talon 2:20:14,
pulls at her chest feathers 2:41:55, yawns/crop drop 2:42:21. D in BSD w/stick
in mouth 3:19:02; he places it on right rail 3:19:06 as M digs in bole; M moves
aside as D digs in bole 3:27:18; D rouses 3:30:36; D to RB 3:33:49; and out
3:34:29; D in FD w/stick 3:51:50; he places on back rail 3:52:02; wind catches
him and flips him forward (oops a daisy) 3:52:05; both aerate the nest for a
bit then D adjusts sticks on right rail
3:53:36; flock of blackbirds fly by from direction of the river 3:57:43; D
rouses 4:00:07; D to RB 4:00:29 & out 4:00:38; M stretches 4:39:22; M out
BSD 4:41:38; D in BSD w/fluff 4:46:33, he watches for his Happy New Year Honey,
and she doesn’t disappoint – M in BD w/stick 4:49:27; M squees softly as D
prepares to leave 5:03:16, D out BD 5:04:02; D in FD w/stick 5:16:03; D messes
with the rail sticks & M does a little fluffing 5:17:25; D aerates the bole
then lays down kicking his feet in the process 5:25:10; D out BD 5:39:31; M
aerates the bole 5:43:17 then lays down 5:44:15; IR light on 5:54:41am. M gets
up 5:59:34, she peers into the darkness presumably trying to find D 6:00:00; M hesitantly
flies out the BSD 6:01:52. Cam 1 reset 7:02:18pm.
