in BSD 7:22:12am, he aerates the bole & picks at some sticks; D moves a
twiggy branch 7:26:26 from right rail to left rail; D out BSD 7:34:16; IR light
off 7:36:03; M in FD 7:38:28; M chirps 7:41:26 & tracks D as he flies in FD
w/stick 7:41:33, it gets placed on front rail; after working on his sticks, D
lays down in bole 7:45:52; D gets up a few minutes later and he & M have a
tender, loving moment 7:49:30 cooing & squeeing at each other; D preens
7:51:34 & M chatters to him; D to LB 7:52:14, M preens her chest feathers,
D rouses 7:52:39, D out 7:52:44. D in BSD 9:33:41; D to LB 9:39:38 & out
9:40:04; M calls out several times 9:41:24, then hops to LB 9:41:54 & out
9:41:56. D in FD w/squirrel 10:04:58, M squees heard 10:04:59, M lands on LB
10:05:01, hops to nest 10:06:00 and squees her thanks; M claims the squirrel
10:06:26 as D digs in the fluff; D rouses 10:08:02 & M is still getting
into position to prep the squirrel; M starts defurring 10:08:39; D to LB
10:09:20 & out 10:12:20; M watches him fly off then gets back to defurring;
M repositions 10:24:05, goes to the back rail 10:24:17, uses her wing a lot to
catch her balance while holding the squirrel in her beak, ends up back in the
nest 10:24:47, picks up the squirrel & backs up to the rail again 10:25:20,
still defurring; 10:27:19; after pausing to look around, M gets back to
defurring the squirrel 10:37:35; M picks up the squirrel 10:43:10 & moves
more toward the center of the nest where she finally gets down to the business
of eating, starting at the head; M starts squeeing 10:50:50; D in BSD
w/tailless fish 10:50:56; D out BSD 10:52:06; M moves remaining squirrel to
pantry after eyeing the fish 10:56:51; M picks up the squirrel 10:57:22 then
puts it back down; M pulls the catfish over to the pantry 10:57:37 & starts
eating it; D in w/big forked stick 11:06:48; D watches M eat, then softly
rouses 11:08:47; D eats a crumb 11:09:20; M gulps down a big portion of fish
11:09:43 as D watches; D rouses 11:09:59; D moves up & gets a piece of
squirrel 11:12:04, feeds M a bite 11:12:29 & 11:12:40; D feeds M another
bite 11:13:07, then he starts eating; M gives D a kiss 11:14:20, then flies out
BSD 11:14:44, D continues to eat; D moves up to pull in the huge stick he
brought in earlier 11:25:44, using foot & beak 11:26:23, moves it to right
front rail, then left front rail; a final step on it to push it down & he's
satisfied 11:27:46; D rearranges sticks on back right side 11:29:34; D moves a
small stick from the bole 11:36:46 then starts fluffing the fluff; after
looking around for a while, D checks out the nestovers 11:46:54, nips at a
piece 11:47:10, eats a bite or two 11:47:25 then cleans up a few crumbs; D
sneezes 11:49:10; D out BSD 11:50:06; D in BD w/stick 12:04:11; D works on
front-left rail, moves turns in a circle with a small stick 12:04:32 & his
tail causes the big-fork stick to bounce around 12:04:35; D places the small
stick, then gets to work on the big one 12:05:01 (doesn't make much progress);
D works on the bole 12:09:07; M lands on the LB 12:09:26; M flaps her wings
12:10:58, hops to nest 12:11:11, then turns to bite the bouncing stick
12:11:16; D takes over trying to tame the stick 12:13:09; D digs in the bole
12:23:08, then goes back to work on the big stick 12:23:51; D briefly works on
bole again 12:28:22, bumping into M (hint-hint M, D wants eggs, lol); D to RB
12:31:17 & out 12:31:27; M digs in the bole 12:38:51 then lays down
12:39:13. M shifts position and ends up with her wings half spread 2:13:24; M
shifts again, pulls in left wing a bit 2:35:09; M picks at & pulls up some
fluff 2:35:45; M throws out her right wing 2:58:38; M stands up 2:59:19; M
stretches left wing & leg 3:00:45; M hops to left rail 3:01:56; M out BSD
3:03:12; D flies low behind nest 3:16:04 & in FD w/fluff 3:16:15 (lands on
stick that's poking up at FD); moves over to nibble on nestovers 3:18:05; D
steps up onto front rail 4:00:32, flies out FD 4:00:57. M in BSD w/fluff
4:36:48; M picks up the nestover squirrel 5:26:15 & eventually settles in
to eat; D flies behind nest 5:33:02 & in BSD w/fluff 5:33:05; M gulps down
the squirrel pelt 5:36:16; M out BSD 5:38:56; D out BSD 5:42:00; E flies to
from one back tree to another 6:01:26; IR light on 6:01:42pm.
