6). No rain for a change this morning (YAY!) & M is sleeping w/her head
tucked 6:44:16, but D wakes her when he lands on the back rail 6:46:45; D
watches as M gets up to check on baby 6:47:47; S/C #1 M rouses 6:49:30; D moves around the nest to right side 6:49:58
& M wing-flaps as she turns around & hops to LB 6:50:10 & out
6:50:13; D tends to baby then snuggles down 6:50:54; IR light off 6:58:51; D up
7:13:09 to feed B12 (his/her little crop is almost bigger than his/her body
(lol); feeding finished, D snuggles down 7:19:04; D quizzically looks down his
chest 7:48:01 as if to say, “Hey little one, whatcha doin’ down there?”; D gets
up 7:48:20 & heads for the pantry, takes a nibble of something then turns
back to B12 7:48:57, D rouses & snuggles down 7:49:13; D up 8:16:22 &
B12 sits up tall expectantly waiting for food; D gives B several bites 8:16:55
then tucks him in 8:19:43; S/C #2 M
in BD 8:37:30, D gets up & hops to RB 8:37:43 & out 8:37:58; M grabs
nestover squirrel 8:38:39 & and tries to gulp it down 8:39:52 but puts it
down 8:40:03; M moves B13's remains from back of pantry to front 8:40:17; M
moves into position over B12 8:41:36, snuggles down 8:42:10 only to get up a
few times to nudge B12 back under her, finally settles down 8:44:57; M stands
up 9:14:11 and turns around, fluffs the fluff and then wiggles back onto B12
9:15:51 who wiggles & squirms making it hard for M to get comfy, M settles
down again 9:18:27; M stands up 9:58:02, opens & flaps wings 9:58:12; M
flies to LB 9:58:30 where she stands on one leg; M opens wings and the wind
hovers her back to nest 10:00:19; M picks up nestover squirrel 10:00:50, M
tries to gulp down the squirrel 10:01:22 but doesn't succeed; M feeds B12 some
squirrel 10:02:50; S/C #3 M flies
out FD 10:27:24, D in 10:07:45, snuggles down 10:08:11; D repositions 10:30:45,
10:32:00, 10:54:25; D stands up 11:23:50; D moves to pantry 12:24:13 and defurs
squirrel; feeds B12 12:25:16; B13's remains catch on D's talons as he moves
back toward B12 (ends up at the top of the pantry pile) 12:28:31, D snuggles
down 12:28:41; D shows a lots of interest in something flying around, tracks it
for quite a while 11:53:21; D repositions 12:06:32; tracks something 12:07:30;
D backs off of B12 12:29:28 & heads to the pantry 12:29:36 where he
possibly pulls off a piece of B13 12:30:21, offers a bite to B12 but s/he's not
interested 12:30:27; B12 finally takes a bite 12:32:05 then D starts feeding
B12 some squirrel; D pulls B13's remains back to the pantry 12:33:35 &
attempts to feed B12 a few bites, which B12 accepts at 12:34:59; D snuggles
back onto B12 12:35:37; D tracks something again 12:39:25; wind is really
strong as D calls out to M 12:55:14; S/C
#4 M hovers in BD w/fish 12:55:19, D stands up 12:55:23 moves to
right-front rail 12:55:26, D to RB 12:55:37 & out 12:55:46; M starts eating
stuff in the pantry (possibly including B13) 12:55:49; M moves a squirrel
12:58:50 then picks up the fish 12:59:06; M feeds B12 a
bite of fish 1:00:54, moves squirrel 1:01:35 & 1:01:50; M tries to gulp
down squirrel but quickly stops 1:02:18; M feeds B12 1:03:24; M fights the wind
to move over to B12 1:06:26, arranges fluff, snuggles down 1:09:05; M tracks
something 1:10:02; M still watching as she vocally alerts 1:31:12, 1:31:45; M
stands up 1:44:11, moves away from B12 1:45:08, hops to front of nest 1:45:41,
flies out BSD 1:46:15; M in BSD 1:47:03, calls out 1:47:15; M feeds B12 some
squirrel 1:49:40; M moves over behind B12 1:53:27, snuggles down 1:56:26; M
repositions 2:12:56; tracks something 2:19:14 and calls out 2:19:24; M backs
off of B12 2:19:50 to better see what is flying around; M calls out again
2:20:59 & D answers 2:21:08; S/C #5
D in BSD 2:21:26 and both watch something; M moves away from B12 2:22:50 and
flies out FD 2:23:09; D picks up the fish 2:23:50 & eats a bite then feeds
B12 (taking a few bites for himself) 2:24:19; D wiggles onto B12 2:27:42; S/C #6 D chirps a greeting 3:26:34 then
stands as M comes in BSD w/fish 3:26:41 , D rouses 3:27:39, hops to RB 3:27:47
then flies out 3:28:26; M feeds B12 some fish (and eats some too) 3:28:38; D
flies by behind nest 3:32:24; M straddles B12 3:33:16, wiggles down 3:34:15; M
calls a greeting to D and we see his shadow approaching 4:10:14, D in BSD w/headless
fish 4:10:17, M softly chirps to D 4:12:15, D rouses 4:13:37 as M continues to
sweet talk, D hops to LB 4:14:51 & flies out 4:14:59; M crop drops 4:37:23;
M gets up 4:37:39, despite cautiously moving away from the bole, she gives B12
a pretty good nudge/kick with her left talon then heads to the pantry 4:38:18; M
grabs one of the older headless fish 4:38:36 & attempts to gulp it down but
fails 4:38:55, she drops it, takes a nibble & tries again 4:39:06 &
fails again; M puts the fish down to nibble on it 4:39:10 then finally manages
her big gulp 4:39:24; she grabs another fish 4:39:30 & nibbles on it 4:40:07;
M gets a piece of hay caught in her beak 4:40:34; M feeds B12 4:42:32; M
snuggles down 4:49:37; M squees as D approaches 5:08:18 & lands on back
rail w/another fish 5:08:21; after
looking around, D hops to LB 5:09:34 & out 5:09:36; M up 5:45:56 &
heads for the pantry 5:46:40, she grabs a fish & begins to eat 5:46:57, she
starts feeding B12 5:48:24; M gulps down a big chunk 5:53:47; one fish gone, M
starts on another one 5:55:13, M offers B12 gets a bite 5:56:21 but it’s too
big so she eats it 😀; M gulps down a fish tail 5:56:35 then shakes
her head trying to get rid of hay stuck in her beak (success!); dinner done & baby tucked in 5:59:00; S/C #7 D approaches the nest
6:31:22 & brings in fluff 6:31:25; M chirps & spreads fluff 6:31:33,
she gets up 6:31:49 & gets a fish from the pantry 6:32:16, she puts that
one down & grabs a smaller piece 6:32:31 & gulps it down 6:32:36; she
picks up the first fish again 6:32:49 & begins eating, she takes one bite
& a nibble then tries to swallow the rest of it whole but fails, she turns
her back on us (drats!) to finish it off; in the meantime, D is nudging B12 who
appears to be sound asleep 6:34:03; goodness, she finishes the fish & pulls
out nestovers 6:34:47 & takes a bite then decides she doesn’t need it &
flies out the BSD 6:35:11; D snuggles down on the little one 6:35:36 & pulls
fluff up close; D repositions 6:37:51; D messes w/a stick 6:42:54; S/C #8 M in BSD 6:43:23, at long last D
gets up 6:48:32, he hops to LB 6:48:48 & out 6:49:02; M aerates the bole,
pulls fluff in close & snuggles down 6:52:59; by 6:56:20, M is ready to
sleep and has her head tucked; IR light on 7:00:07pm.
